We'll go down to the crawdad hole

Sunday night we went down to Crooked Creek to collect crawdads. The boys didn’t get a lot but what they did get would be on the lunch menu come Monday.

80 foot tall Platanus occidentalis, also known as American sycamore

Add crawdads to seasoned water

Go a head jump in with your friends the water's perfect

I'll get you for this! I'm going to call PETA!

Whose going to be first?

Hank was the brave soul

Then everyone jumped in

Tastes like lobster

That was fun but not enough.
Let's build us a trap and get more!

Target Tuesday

Last week we took the kids to Target Tuesday at the Fred Berry Conservation Education Center on Crooked Creek.
They have a Summer Program that features Target Tuesdays (archery and air rifle practicing), Wild About Wednesdays (teaches children about wildlife in the Ozarks), and Fishing Fridays (teaches children to fish in an onsite stocked catfish pond).

The boys listen to instruction
