First stop, the local “Kum & Go.” No seriously.
I’d love the meet the college kid that came up with that name.
My spell check had a problem with that one.
The road is long with many a winding turn ...
We arrived in Arkansas via the Tennessee border in late afternoon and then spent an hour at the Kum & Go for a gas, oil and a kid poopie break. Every time we stopped it took an hour, you can’t do anything quick with 6 kids.
We only had 221 miles to go and it took 5 ½ hours of traveling on winding hilly roads to get to the Homestead. We got there at 11:30 exhausted and bleary eyed, pitched our tent and went to sleep.
Tomorrow was a new day and the beginning of our week long vacation.
