Sorry we were closed for ten days but last week we packed the whole family into our gas guzzling black Suburban and headed for the foot hills of the Ozarks, North Central Arkansas.
Putting the 4 days of driving aside, we had a very relaxing time sleeping under the stars for two nights in a tent and then we spent the remaining 4 days in a trailer without running water, without a toilet and electricity.
All and all, it wasn’t too bad; we used a composting toilet and bummed the use of our friends shower when needed. I actually shaved in a fresh water spring. The people were nice and friendly which put us in a mood to enjoy the sights and sounds of the rural life.
We can’t wait to return to our 38 acre homestead in the Ozarks.
