Yup, still there.

At the risk of looking silly

After coming down with something at work on the 19^th of November and suffering ever since with night chills and high fevers, I finally went to a local clinic for help. I was prescribed a Z-pack and hopefully I’m on my way to recovery.

This photo was taken today during one of my many recovery moments … oh did I tell you that not only is the Ozarks noted for ticks and chiggers but also flies.

It’s been a beautiful week with highs in the upper 70’s which brings them little critters out by the hundreds and a man’s got to protect himself even at the risk of looking silly.

As it stands right now we are overwhelmed, over stressed and bleary eyed.  We had several postponements due to everything from work scheduling, legal issues, auto repairs and/or there just ain’t enough time in a day to do all that needs to be done.

We will be finishing up all the packing today, then staying at a friend’s house for a few days while we tie up all the loose ends.  The reason why we’ll be staying at a friend’s is that my brother will be renting our house and moving in with his family tomorrow.

Hopefully, if all the things that need to be completed actually are completed by next weekend we’ll be off if not we’ll continue to live as nomads until the powers that be allow us to move on.
