New Year’s Eve started with takeout Chinese from our favorite restaurant and then a visit from Eric and Mary-Ellen with three of their younger children which as always was a time of good conversation and laughs.
Earlier that day we had a surprising telephone call from my long time friend Barrie who was in town from California with her family. She came by later that night with her husband Jean-Michel and their two daughters, Soleil and Luna.
We talked; we shot off fireworks, played games, ate food and rang in the New Year together.
It was a great day with good friends and a relaxing time.
New Year’s Day Echo’s friend Sebastian came by and we had a family baseball game and air-soft war. We ended the day with French toast topped with syrup, honey and jelly followed by watching “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
All in all this Holiday week was one to remember, it was relaxing and enjoyable.
Let’s hope this coming year is the same.
