Never Forget

Last Sunday we took the children to a 911 Memorial Tribute at the local Moose Lodge in Tamarac.

All in all it was a beautiful tribute except for the magnitude of the attack on our country you would think there would have been more people in attendance.

All over the tribute the words “Never Forget” were the theme for the day but it seems every wakeup call America gets they hit snooze.

ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT DAY IN SEPTEMBER.
The Tribute in Lights is an art installation of 88 searchlights placed next to the site of the World Trade Center to create two vertical columns of light in remembrance of the September 11th attacks.
It is produced annually by The Municipal Art Society of New York. It initially ran as a temporary installation from March 11 to April 14, 2002, and was launched again in 2003 to mark the second anniversary of the attack.
As of 2010, it has been repeated every year on September 11. It had been announced that 2008 would be its final year, but the tribute was continued in 2009.
On December 17, 2009, it was confirmed that the tribute would continue through to the tenth anniversary of the attacks in 2011.

We Had a Dream

The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center under construction1970

It was realized and it became the pinnacle of the world’s financial market.

Ten years ago one of our greatest accomplishments was destroyed by outside enemies.

As a nation we prevailed.

Yet in the first time in our nation’s history our government, acting against the will of the people in the name of political correctness have made excuses for and have mollycoddled our enemy.

Now after ten years the enemy is within and it seems our liberties have been stripped in the name of our security while their liberties have been strengthen as not to hurt or offend them.

We’re in a bad place as history from other great civilizations can attest.

Reflect on the loss, the lives, the families, our country, and our future as a nation.
