When I was about 6 years old my mom had a car just like this one, it was a Navy Blue 1963 Caddy Coupe DeVille and boy was it big. She would get me up real early, pack the car and we would head off to the beach, usually Manhattan or Coney Island beach.
I can still remember hearing Ron Lundy on Musicradio77 (WABC-AM) playing the top tunes of the day while my mom was cruising down the parkway towards the beach.
One of these days I would love to own a car like that one and cruise to the beach with my kids but of course I would have to make two trips.
