Last week I was commissioned to remove an existing archway and install a single light pocket door in its place. After staining and varnishing the door and trim the week before Echo and I showed up early one morning to set up a dust barrier, cover all the furniture with plastic and begin the demo.
Seven hours later the demo was complete, the pocket door frame was installed and the wall was sheet rocked ready for plaster the next day.
All total the install took around 15 hours from start to finish but keep in mind this was one of those rare jobs where everything went smoothly.
Boy, I wish they were all like that.
